Operation all out
The Modi government started Operation All Out in 2017 to wipe out terrorists from the Valley. Due to which a large number of terrorists were killed. In the year 2017 and 2018, more than two and a half hundred militants were killed by the security forces. The government was successful in breaking the back of terrorist organizations through this operation. This operation was prepared by NSA Ajit Doval.
Secured security of separatists
In the last term, the Modi government had decided to remove the security cover of 18 separatists and 155 leaders of Jammu and Kashmir. These include names like Wahid Mufti, a close aide of former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and former IAS officers Shah Faisal, Aga Syed Mosavi and Maulvi Abbas Ansari.
Negotiator also appointed
In 2017, former IB director Dineshwar Sharma was made the interlocutor to solve the Kashmir problem by the government of PM Narendra Modi. IPS Dineshwar Sharma had been handling the affairs of Jammu and Kashmir while in IB. The aim of making him a negotiator was that if the problem could be solved by talking to all the parties in Jammu and Kashmir. Centrally-appointed negotiator Dineshwar Sharma also met Omar Abdullah, vice-president of the National Conference in Srinagar recently.
Jammu Kashmir Reservation Amendment Bill
This bill brought by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has been passed in the Lok Sabha. Under this bill, 3 percent reservation in educational institutions and government jobs has been extended to people living within 10 km of the international border in Jammu and Kashmir. The Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act provides for reservation for direct recruitment, promotion and admission to several professional courses in various categories, but it was not extended to persons from international borders. But after this bill becomes law, these people too will come under the purview of reservation.
3700 crores for the development of panchayats
The Modi government has opened the treasury of the center for the development of villages in Jammu and Kashmir. Home Minister Amit Shah had told that the central government has allocated Rs 3700 crore for Jammu and Kashmir, which is being sent directly to the panchayats. So that money can be properly used in the development of Panchayats. In the first phase, Rs 700 crore has been sent to the panchayats. Preparations are on to release two more installments of Rs 1500–1500 crore.
How to screw Mehbooba and Farooq Abdullah in the scam
In the second term of the Modi government, the investigating agencies started clamping down on People's Democratic Party leader Mehbooba Mufti and Farooq Abdullah of the National Conference. Recently, ED questioned Farooq Abdullah in Chandigarh office in over 113 crore scam in Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Board. On the issue of more than 1200 appointments on the basis of recommendation in the Jammu and Kashmir Bank, the Anti-Corruption Bureau has summoned the former Chief Minister and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti to issue a notice and issued a notice.
Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Bank removed
Parvez Ahmed was removed from the post of chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Bank on charges of fake appointments and alleged terror funding in Jammu and Kashmir Bank. The Anti Corruption Bureau also raided the bank headquarters to investigate the matter. In June 2019, the government removed Parvez Ahmed and gave the responsibility of chairman to RK Chhibber.
