Banks will remain closed for the next 10 days, know the whole holiday list

With the opening of the new year, the cold has also reached its peak, due to which it has become difficult for the general public to go to work.  2 January means that today most banks in Punjab are closed due to Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti. At the same time, due to New Year Celebration, banks are not functioning in Aizawl too.

 Imphal's banks will not be functioning on January 7 and 8 as well. Apart from this, the major unions of the banking sector have decided to participate in the general strike organized by the central trade unions on 8 January 2020. In the event of a strike by the employees of banks, the functioning of banks across the country may be affected.

 Banks will remain closed on 14 January due to Makar Sankranti in Gujarat. On the other hand, this festival will be celebrated on 15 January in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Punjab, Assam and Maharashtra due to Pongal, Magha Bihu and Tusu Puja. In such a situation, the functioning of banks in these states will be affected.

 Most banks in Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu will remain closed on January 16 due to Thiruvalluvar Day.

 Similarly on January 17, the functioning of banks in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu will be affected.

 Kolkata banks will remain closed on January 23 on the birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose.

 On January 26, Republic Day and January 30, Vasant Panchami, will be a holiday for banks in many states of the country.
