Get the Golden Card made free by 31 March

Kannauj The Health Department has started a campaign to verify 100% beneficiaries and make their golden cards under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, which provides free treatment up to Rs five lakh to the families of weaker sections. Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (Ayushman Bharat Yojana), a special campaign will be launched in the district by 31 March 2020 to make golden cards at all primary and community health centers and health and wellness centers


 Nodal Officer and ACMO Dr. JP Salonia informed that the Uttar Pradesh Government has issued instructions to make golden cards by setting up camps at health centers. A microplan has been made for setting up camps in the district every day. District Co-ordinator of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Dr. Satendra Kumar informed that complete preparations have been made as per the instructions of the government. Camps will be organized at all health centers in the district. A list of beneficiary families identified under the scheme has been made available to the hope of the area. The identified beneficiaries will be motivated by ASHA, ANM, Health Supervisor to come to the camp and make a Golden Card. Golden cards are being made free of cost in all Community Health Centers, District Hospitals, Government Medical Colleges, Tirva in the district. The beneficiary will have to pay 30 rupees per Golden Card for making a Golden Card.
 Dr. Kumar said that this camp is being publicized in rural areas. So that the beneficiaries get their golden card done as soon as possible and can get free medical treatment up to five lakh rupees by reaching the nearest medical units. According to the Socio Economic Census 2011, there are about 1.18 lakh families beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the district. There are about 5.93 lakh beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana. Golden cards have been made for about 66 thousand beneficiaries in the district and 2890 beneficiaries have got free treatment. These include diseases such as severe malaria, typhoid, cholera, dysentery, and operation of brain tumors, neoplasia, bone, hydrocele, asthma, hernia, eardrum. Dr. Satendra said- Those who have received letters or plastic cards from the Prime Minister / Chief Minister, they must get the Golden Card made otherwise those who have kept the letter at home.
