B.Ed will be able to do after 12th

Students will be able to save their one year.

  Bangalore The Higher Education Department may start the Integrated B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) course from the next academic session. These courses will be BA-B.Ed, B.Sc-B.Ed and B.Com-B.Ed. The duration of which will be four years. After 12th, students will be able to enroll in it.

  This course will prove to be very beneficial for the students. Through this, students will be able to save their one year. In the current system, students can enroll in B.Ed after completing their bachelor's degree. The duration of this course is two years.

  If sources are to be believed, it may be announced to start Integrated B.Ed course in the state budget. Higher Education Minister Dr. CN Ashwathnarayan said that the course will be written to the National Council of Education for approval. This will help in tackling the shortage of teachers in the state. The quality of education and teaching will improve. The goal is to start a B.Ed college in every district.

  It is noteworthy that the draft of the new National Education Policy also proposes a 4-year integrated B.Ed course. Demand for B.Ed colleges has increased across the country. Because BEd is mandatory to become a teacher, whether government or private school.
