Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Sunday launch the Rs 1 lakh crore Agriculture Infrastructure Fund facility. On this occasion, PM, Kisan Sanman Yojana sixth hand Rs. 2000 will also be transferred to the farmers' account. A total of 8.5 crore farmers in the country will get Rs 17,000 crore. Let me tell you that under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, Rs. 6000-6000 in three installments have been sent to the bank accounts of 8 crore 69 lakh farmers of the country so far.
Direct cash gain of over Rs 75,000 crore
According to sources, the marathon lasted till late night on Friday over the transfer of funds under the PM Modi scheme. The meeting was also attended by Vivek Agarwal, CEO, PM Kisan Scheme. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana, launched on December 1, 2018, has provided direct cash benefits of over Rs 75,000 crore to more than 9.9 crore farmers. It has enabled farmers to meet their agricultural needs and provide necessary support to their families.
The PM Kisan Yojana has been launched and implemented expeditiously under which the amount is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the Aadhaar certified beneficiaries to prevent leakage and increase facilities for farmers. The scheme has also been instrumental in providing much needed support to farmers under the Kovid-19 epidemic. In fact, about Rs 22,000 crore was announced to help farmers during the lockdown period.
Approval of Rs. 1 lakh crore Agricultural Infrastructure Fund
Agriculture Infrastructure Fund: An Agriculture Infrastructure Fund of Rs 1 lakh crore has been approved in the Union Cabinet meeting. The scheme will facilitate medium and long term loans to invest in schemes for infrastructure management and community agricultural assets after harvest through interest grants and financial assistance.
