Red alert in the state: Heavy rains forecast in next 3 hours, Megh Maher in 225 talukas in 24 hours, maximum 6 inches of rain in Satlasana taluka

Megh Maher remains the same in the state. The highest rainfall is in Saurashtra and South Gujarat. It has been raining in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Anand, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Dwarka and Aravalli since early morning. In the last 24 hours, 225 talukas received half to 6 inches of rain yesterday. The highest rainfall of 6 inches has been recorded in Satlasana taluka of Mehsana. The meteorological department has forecast heavy rains in the state in the next three hours. After that, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Panchmahal, Tapi, Surat, Sabarkantha, Dahod, Porbandar, Junagadh, Kheda, Banaskantha, Rajkot and other areas are also receiving normal rains since late night.

It has been raining in different parts of the city since early morning. Bopal, Satellite, Vastrapur, SG Highway, Vejalpur, Sarkhej, Gota, Vaishnadevi Circle, Ranip, New Ranip, Chandkheda, Motera, Sabarmati, Dudheshwar, Rakhial, Odhav, Shahibaug, Maninagar, Vatva, Jamalpur Is. Vehicles are less visible today as it is a holiday on Sunday. Visibility is also reduced.

 Given the weather conditions, heavy rains are likely in most parts of Gujarat till next Sunday, August 23, as well as neighboring Madhya Pradesh and South Rajasthan. It will also be Gujarat's turn on Saturday and Sunday and heavy to very heavy rains may be seen, the meteorological department said in its forecast. Based on this forecast, IMD has kept the entire state, including all areas of Gujarat, on orange alert on Saturday and Sunday.

 If we talk about the state of Gujarat, the areas of Aravalli in the north, Mahisagar in the middle, Surendranagar and Diu Union Territory in Saurashtra may come under the Red Warning on Saturday. Orange alert was issued in Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Panchmahal and Dahod districts and surrounding areas. Rate alerts have been issued in Banaskantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Kutch and Diu for Sunday while orange alerts have been issued in Ahmedabad, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Panchmahal, Dahod, Surendranagar, Jamnagar and Morbi.
