Red alert in the state: Heavy rains forecast in next 3 hours, Megh Maher in 225 talukas in 24 hours, maximum 6 inches of rain in Satlasana taluka

Megh Maher remains the same in the state. The highest rainfall is in Saurashtra and South Gujarat. It has been raining in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Anand, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Dwarka and Aravalli since early morning. In the last 24 hours, 225 talukas received half to 6 inches of rain yesterday. The highest rainfall of 6 inches has been recorded in Satlasana taluka of Mehsana. The meteorological department has forecast heavy rains in the state in the next three hours. After that, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Panchmahal, Tapi, Surat, Sabarkantha, Dahod, Porbandar, Junagadh, Kheda, Banaskantha, Rajkot and other areas are also receiving normal rains since late night.

Rate alerts have been issued in Banaskantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Kutch and Diu for Sunday while orange alerts have been issued in Ahmedabad, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Panchmahal, Dahod, Surendranagar, Jamnagar and Morbi.
