 Central government Big announcement for poor people : 5 kg free ration in May and June amid COVID-19 second wave.

The Centre will spend more than Rs 26,000 crore on this initiative that has been taken in view of the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country.





In a big relief to the poorer sections of the society amid the devastating second wave of coronavirus pandemic, the Central government on Friday announced that it will provide free food grains under the PM Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana for the months of May and June, 2021.

In a statement released by the Government of India, 5 kilogram free food grains will be provided to around 80 crore beneficiaries in the country.

The Centre will spend more than Rs 26,000 crore on this initiative that has been taken in view of the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country.

The announcement has come as India continues to shatter all ‘records’ on the coronavirus front. The country recorded more than 3.32 lakh new coronavirus cases in a single day on Friday.

With 3,32,730 new coronavirus cases recorded over the past 24 hours, as per the data updated at 8 am this morning, India’s caseload has risen to 1,62,63,695 with 24,28,616 active cases.

The death toll stands at 1,86,920 with the addition of a record 2,263 new fatalities. Active cases now comprise 14.93 per cent of the total infections registered in the country. The national COVID-19 recovery rate has now dropped to 83.92 per cent

Recoveries have surged to 1,36,48,159, with the case fatality rate being at 1.15 per cent. As per PTI, India’s COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, 50 lakh on September 16, 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20, one crore on December 19, and 1.50 crore on April 19, 2021.

The central government will be providing free foodgrain to nearly 80 crore people for the next two months (May and June), Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Friday. This will be facilitated through the PM Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana.

According to the plan, the Centre will be providing 5 kg free foodgrain to the beneficiaries. The central government said it will be spending more than Rs 26,000 crore on this.

PM Narendra Modi stressed that it is important for the poor get nutritional support at a time when the country is facing the second wave of Covid-19.

Last year in March, the government announced the PM Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana under which it provided free foodgrain to the poor for about three months (April-June).

Back then the government said the special scheme would benefit nearly 81 crore beneficiaries and they would be provided with an additional quota of free-of-cost foodgrains (Rice/Wheat) at a scale of 5 Kg per person per month, over and above their regular monthly entitlements.

Night curfew in 9 more cities in the state till May 5: Government's 'mini lockdown' in cities, spontaneous lockdown in villages :: gtpadhiyar.com

 Night curfew imposed in Himmatnagar, Palanpur, Navsari, Valsad, Porbandar, Botad, Viramgam, Chhotaudepur and Veraval-Somnath. Mall-multiplexes, parks, restaurants and places of worship will be completely closed till May 5 in all 29 cities including Ahmedabad. Grocery stores, vegetable, fruit, medical stores, milk parlors, bakeries and grocery stores will continue.

The state government has imposed night curfew in 9 more cities of Gujarat as part of Gujarat's rescue measures in the wake of the Koro epidemic. So far, night curfew has been imposed in 20 cities, including Himmatnagar, Palanpur, Navsari, Valsad, Porbandar, Botad, Viramgam, Chhotaudepur and Veraval-Somnath. Thus, the curfew will now be in force in a total of 29 cities of Gujarat from 8 pm to 6 am till May 5. In addition, the state government has decided to put additional restrictions in these 29 cities. Following the Centre's guidelines, the Rupani Cabinet re-imposed the one-year-old rules. The meeting then took important decisions, including imposing night curfews in 29 cities to curb Corona. In addition, units including mall-multiplexes where crowds gather will be closed. At the same time, the list of banned units in Gujarat has become a big mess again, which is exactly the same as it was implemented a year ago, i.e. in May 2020. Thus, Gujarat has returned to where it was exactly a year ago in the fight against the Koro epidemic.

Earlier on April 6, night curfew was imposed in 20 cities of the state. Night curfew was imposed in Gandhidham, Bharuch, Surendranagar and Amreli. The government took this decision as the situation of Corona in these cities was extremely dire and announced a night curfew till May 5. Strict enforcement of spontaneous lockdowns continues in villages The state government has imposed restrictions like mini lockdowns to prevent crowds from gathering in urban areas. On the other hand, in the villages of the state, a situation like Jadbaslak lockdown is still going on and there is a strict ban on people coming from outside. Spontaneous awareness is now being seen in the villages and it is being strictly enforced by the panchayat by banning people from going out and gathering without work.

All essential services will continue in the above 29 cities during these restrictions.

Grocery stores, vegetable, fruit, medical stores, milk parlors, bakeries and grocery stores will continue.

All industries, manufacturing units, factories and construction activities will continue in these 29 cities as well. All these units have to strictly follow the SOP.

All medical and paramedical services will remain the same.

All restaurants in these 29 cities will be closed and take-away services will continue.

Malls, shopping complexes, Gujri Bazaar, cinema halls, auditoriums, gyms, swimming pools, water parks, public gardens, salons, spas, beauty parlors and other amusement activities will be closed in all the 29 cities.

All APMCs across the state will be closed. Only APMCs engaged in the sale of vegetables and fruits can be continued.

Public access to religious places across the state will be closed and only administrators and priests will be able to perform the rites.

As far as active cases are concerned, there are currently 1,21,461 active cases in the state, out of which 412 patients are on ventilator, while 1,21,049 patients are stable.

The AICPI report also mention that after the DA is reinstated, the Dearness Allowance of the central employees may increase from 17 percent to 28 percent. This includes a 3 percent increase in DA from January to June 2020, a 4 percent increase from July to December 2020, and a 4 percent increase from January to June 2021. The total DA calculation will then come to (17 + 4 + 3 + 4) 28 percent.

2. Centre on DA

In March, Minister of State for Finance, Anurag Thakur, told Parliament that all Central government employees will get full benefits of DA starting July 1. He had also said that all the three pending installments will be restored prospectively.

3. Arrears of Central government employees

Any increase in DA from July 1 will only be effective from that day, which means the Central government employees are set to miss their arrears.

4. Reason behind DA freeze

The three installments of DA due on January 1, 2020, July 1, 2020 and January 1, 2021, were frozen in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, Thakur said: "As and when the decision to release the future installments of Dearness Allowance due from 01.07.2021 is taken, the rates of DA as effective from 01.01.2020, 01.07.2020 and 01.01. 2021 will be restored prospectively and will be subsumed in the cumulative revised rates effective from 01.07.2021."

 PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups.Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

Merit lists for AA and SSR will be prepared based on performance in written examination subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT), as follows:-

AA- Top 600 candidates (approx.) on all India order of merit, who meet the eligibility criteria for AA will be issued call up letter for final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka. 

SSR- Approximately 2500 candidates will be issued call up letter for final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka on the basis of state wise merit.

Government of Gujarat Finance Department Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar. Circular No: BNK - 102021 - Dir (IF) -1 - N Dated. 2.0 APR 2021 Read: (1) Proposal of State Level Bankers' Committee dated 15.04.2021 With a view to containing COVID - 19 cases in the State of Gujarat, Heads of major PSBS & Private sector banks, Regional Director of RBI, Ahmedabad, Convener, SLBC, Gujarat etc. held a meeting to have an assessment and course of action to be taken with regards to banking activities. Based on the outcome of the meeting, the SLBC has recommended certain steps vide letter referred above. 





 The state government has considered the said recommendations and as a measure to contain the spread of COVID 19, it is hereby decided from 21.04.2021 to 30.04.2021 as under:

 1. Banking business for customers shall be undertaken from 10.00 am to 2: 00 pm

 2. Bank branches and its offices shall provide only essential services to customers and preference shall be given to Sr. Citizens. The essential services will include cash deposit, cash withdrawal, RTGS & Remittances including Clearing etc. Any call given by the government shall be given priority. 

3. Staff strength in branches / administrative offices shall be curtailed by 50% by adopting alternate days working / work from home etc. to minimize the risk of spread of pandemic. Banks shall ensure adequate cash in ATMs and encourage the customers to use Digital Payments modes. In addition to the above, guidelines relating to COVID - 19 Pandemic issued by the Government of India, Government of Gujarat and all other local competent Authorities shall also be strictly adhered to and Covid Appropriate Behavior to be Strictly observed by all concerned. This issues with the approval of the competent authority on note dated 20.04.2021 on even number file of this Department.

Specifically developed for Japan in 2003, ISDB TSB is the digital radio system used for multi program services. It is currently using transmission frequencies in the VHF band. A unique features of ISDB TSB is that the digital radio channel are intermingled with ISDB digital TV channels in the similar broadcast.

DRM:

DRM is a system developed primarily as a direct substitute for AM international broadcasting in the short wave band. DRM uses the similar channel plan as the analog services and with some limitations and changes to the analog service. A DRM broadcast can share the same channel with an analog station. Existing channel allocation DRM is a single audio channel system when used with.

Amid the deteriorating situation of Corona in Gujarat, Chief Minister Rupani addressed the gathering through Facebook today. The system is declining due to increasing cases, he said. At a time when the number of patients is increasing across the state, all the trusts in Gujarat, whether private or any hospital, have started filling the beds with patients. In view of this situation, two important decisions have been taken at the core committee meeting.

Increase in the remuneration of employees treating corona

Announcing the pay hike, the Chief Minister said that a decision has been taken regarding the various cadres of employees engaged in the service of patients. The specialist will give Rs 2.5 lakh monthly to the doctors. 1.25 lakh per month to medical officers, Rs. 40 thousand, 35 thousand for AYUSH doctors, 35 thousand for homeopathy doctors will also be given.

While junior pharmacist, lab technician, X-ray technician, ECG technician will be given Rs. 18 thousand per month and class 4 employee will be given Rs. 15 thousand per month. The sisters working in outsourcing will be paid an honorarium of Rs 20,000 per month instead of Rs 13,000 per month for the next three months.

Giving more incentive pay to Class-4 staff for the next three months

Chief Minister Rupani said that medical officers, dental doctors, AYUSH doctors, homeopaths, doctors as well as junior pharmacists / lab technicians / X-ray technicians and ECGs are being trained. Technicians are being recruited with attractive honorarium. Similarly, Medical, Nursing, Pharmacist, Lab-Tech and Class-4 staff serving honorarium in government hospitals will be given additional incentive pay for the next three months. The government has also decided to give similar honorarium to Class-4 employees for the months of May, June and July.

All hospital-clinics will be able to treat corona without approval

Giving details of another important decision, the Chief Minister said that now all private hospitals, clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, doctors will be able to treat corona in their own hospitals. Kovid’s patient is allowed to be treated until next June 15. No approval is required. He will have to inform the Collector and the Municipal Commissioner about this. As well as Koro patients can be treated in Army hospitals operating in the state.

More than 12 thousand cases in 24 hours

For the first time in Jarat, the number of corona cases has crossed 12,000 and an all-time high of 12,206 new cases have been reported in 24 hours. As well as 121 patient deaths. While 4,339 patients have undergone coronary heart disease. The recovery rate in the state is 80.82 per cent. All-time high cases have been reported for the 21st consecutive day. New cases have been making an all-time high since March 31st.

Total cases 4.28 lakh and more than 76 thousand under treatment

State Government's decision: Mass promotion for students of Std.1 to 9 and11th

 With Corona wailing across the state, the state government has taken one more decision in the interest of students ’health. Direct education in classes 1 to 12 across the state i.e. classroom education will be closed till May 10 or any other order by the state government. Also, the board exams for Std. 10 and Std. 12 in Gujarat, which were to be held from May 10 to May 25, have been postponed due to the current situation in Corona.









 Mass promotion to students in Std-1 to 9 and Std-11

 The state government has said that the new dates for the exam will be announced on May 15 after reviewing the transition status of Koro. It has also been decided that due to the announcement of these new dates, students will be given at least 15 days to prepare for the exam. Also, mass promotion will be given to students in Std-1 to 9 and Std-11 in the state this year.


 DivyaBhaskar's report literally prepared an exclusive report on giving mass promotions to students of Std. 1 to 9 and Std. 11 on December. 4 months after the report, the state government has announced the decision of mass promotion.



 Children cannot go to school and take exams

 A guardian named Girish Soni said that mass promotion should be given to students in standard 1 to 9. Cases are on the rise, so that young children cannot go to school and take exams and there is a possibility of online exams being stolen, so that no injustice is done to any student, mass promotion should be given in Std. 1 to 9 and Std. 10 and 12 exams should be made compulsory. On which the future of the students depends, but the examination should be held in June instead of May.

 All Gujarat Guardianship President Naresh Shah said that the CBSE board exam has been canceled and postponed, but the Gujarat board does not need to cancel the exam. To take a decision for Gujarat Board as decided for CBSE Board, in which 10th and 12th standard examination should be held in June instead of May. Mass promotion should be given in standard 1 to 9.

If you do not link your bank account with the Aadhaar card, you could lose Rs 1.30 lakh directly.

 In this account, customers are given a debit card in the form of Rs. 1 lakh, which includes accident insurance. This benefit is only available if you have linked your bank account to Aadhaar. This means that not linking to Aadhaar will directly cost you one lakh rupees. In addition, an accidental death cover of Rs 30,000 will be available on this account only if the account is linked to the Aadhaar card. So if you have also opened a Jandhan account, you should link it with Aadhaar card.






 You can link your Aadhaar card by visiting your bank. You have to take a photocopy of Aadhaar card and passbook to the bank. Many banks are linking Aadhaar card with account with just one message.
